A group of local residents, all living in the beautiful and historic market town of West malling. We've come together to help support our Parish and Borough to develop the right plan for our future housing needs.

Rebuilding the 2022 plan

As the previous plan was not approved, the Parish and Borough councils are redeveloping new plans. This will need to respond to the ever increasing housing demands.

Without a plan in place developers have great chance of getting planning applications approved, in any location.

The Local Plan 2022

A plan that was never approved

After extensive work, in July 2021 the proposed Local Plan was withdrawn. A new local plan, starting from scratch now needs to be developed to meet the increased housing needs whilst engaging with neighbouring boroughs, a key reason for withdrawal in 2021.
