We have a real chance to make a difference and influence how West Malling is developed. We need to raise our voices and work together to protect the homes and land we enjoy.
1. Spread the word
It's important to be well informed in the planning process and stages when developing a local plan. Use this website or get in touch if you need to know more. As a community we have more power when we are united and aligned around what matters most to us, now and in the future.
2. Sign up to support
Contact us to let us know you are ready to support. We're looking for a range of support from just being a good voice, to preparing planning responses and engaging with councils. Everyone can have a role to play, and we need you.
3. Engage specialists
We may need to engage with planning consultants or specialists services to respond to planning applications. We will only do this is necessary and this may come at some cost. Crowd funding could be a way to achieve this and will always be transparent on what we need, why and how much it will cost.
4. Write to our MP
Making sure our MPs and Planning representatives know your views is important. The Parish Council is preparing our Neighbourhood plan and the Borough Council is developing the Local Plan, let your MP know your views.
